Help! M3D micro software refuses to work at all.

Postby Acanlord » Sat Sep 30, 2017 4:36 am

Hey, I`ve had and used my M3D micro for a long time now
and after a few months of not using it i tried to go and run it again
and noticed the software seemed to be missing, Not really sure why.

Anyway i went to go reinstall some M3D micro software.
i`m trying to use the M3D micro Beta 1.5.1.0 version.

When i try and run it i get this error message.

Whats going on here? how can i fix this?

I'm not associated with M3D but saw your message and had a couple of observations:

Perhaps a complete uninstall and reinstall would be in order. I understand the old software disappeared but you don't mention if you searched to see if any remnants might still be on your system. If so, resintalling the software might have overwritten some files with a newer version creating some conflicts.

Also, I'm curious why the error message states that access to the cura_config.ini file is denied. Is M3D's software based on Cura?

If you don't already have a free copy of Cleaner on your system, try it out. There are a number of services it provides such as a software uninstaller and cleans your registry as well. I've never had a problem with it though I did hear that a recent build was corrupted by Russian hackers (I kid you not). Piriform are certainly aware of this so I trust that the latest version available from their website is clean. It's a great tool and has helped me isolate and clean up many issues I've had with my system over the years.

Their website is:
https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

I hope some of these suggestions help.

Good luck!
