General news about The Micro 3D

+ the micro exists and it prints.

- print bed adehesion sucks. can be fixed with the common techniques, i recommend avery inkjet clear shipping labels. best adhesion of everything i tested so far, and i tested a lot. for abs i still use abs slurry because the avery stickers stick too good, but for pla its just perfect.

- a serious oozing/retraction problem. the flow control does not seem to work properly, or the print is just done with too high extruder temperature. hard to say just by the vid.

- cooling is obviously neccessary (again too hot extruder?)

+ cooling is neccessary, so it might be the first hack of the micro to install some fans...

Thanks for sharing!

Looks like a Intel Galileo Board, a mini computer similar to Raspberry Pi for controlling the Micro.

Raft 'plate' is too huge for this model.

Is this a beta version unit?
It appears that the the printing (and the video recording?) was probably interrupted as a blue filament spool was not on the table in the beginning of the video.
Wondering how the final printout came out as this NASA Space Wrench is actually a functional tool if it is printed correctly:

Update:
Just found a picture of the final printout made by Micro. Looks terrible :(

It is a beta version, as you can see in the pictures.
But I'm not sure how much of these problems are from hardware or software?! The ugly looking raft is too much filament, so you got those waves, which affect the hole print. The first one ore two layers are the most important ones! If you have those irregular surface, your nozzle will jump all the time and you have vibrations and cracks in your print. So maybe this could be solved by software calibration
